Hola,
Another week of sunshine and business in LA. Moved into apartment #2 with furry feline that hid for the first day or two. Now, Pai just growls. I think he’s starting to warm up to me. *quizzically scratching my head*
Internship is a humbling but exciting experience. I report to the VP, Affiliate Distribution who is fun, smart, connected and empowering. The complex relationships between cable programmers (Cable TV network) and cable operators (eg: Comcast) and the business interaction between them make it a very interesting experience. In this industry, the TV/Cable shows are products, so business meetings where their sometimes-risque titles are thrown around makes me silently giggle. Watching shows and movies actually becomes serious research. I like the entrepreneurial nature mixed in with a dose of laughter; however, there is still a healthy heaping of competition. Coming from enterprise technology, it’s a bit of a welcomed culture shift. In the end, it’s still a serious business.
Have a few more minutes? Kick off those stilettos and grab that glass of Syrah. Right click above to follow me from the OC to LA as I drive through Century City, thump my dancin’ feet in Venice Beach and finish up my first week at said company.
Till we met again, my cuties.

PS. Happy Birthday, Diane. Will take a dip and sip in your bday honor. Ya’ look marvelous. Besos!
Great to see you settled in. We need a fund raiser for a better camera.
Stay in touch
Thanks sweets! We had a great time. You were missed. We all need to do a weekend up at the lake when you get home. I love your movies. Helps me to envision you in the space when I see glimpses of it.
I am so glad I know you. Have a great time, and learn lots!
Love you
D
